Hillary Goldthwait- Fowles, PhD. is a RESNA (Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technology Society of North America) certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), who specializes in breaking barriers to learning through the use of Assistive Technology and Universal Design for Learning.

Hillary is a certified Special Education Consultant in the State of Maine, serving as a consultant for students in grades K-12 to promote access to learning, employment, and life through the use of Assistive Technology and Universal Design for Learning. She is an educator with over 20 years of experience as a teacher of children with Autism and other disabilities including Developmental Disabilities, ADHD, and Dyslexia. This foundation has served her well in providing tools and strategies to break barriers to learning to teachers, students, clients, and parents.

Hillary is a published author. Her book, “One Size Does Not Fit All: Equity, Access, PD, and UDL” is available on Amazon and explores the importance of delivering high-quality teacher training to adult learners in order to improve lesson plans that integrate the Principles of Universal Design for Learning. Hillary is a prolific speaker who has presented at both the local and national levels on Assistive Technology, Universal Design for Learning, and Accessible Educational Materials (AEM). Hillary provides training and support to school districts, educational entities, and businesses in Assistive Technology, Universal Design for Learning, and Accessible Web Design.
